5 reasons not to miss one of my Vision Board workshops

You’ve been waiting to use your new notebook to write your goals down for next year, snuggled up on the sofa just like you’re in the Bridget Jones movie.

It’s your yearly ritual and you love the thought of writing your dreams down on the first page.

January usually goes well, with you going for a run a few times a week and making time for yoga.

But then by Valentine’s Day, your neatly written goals have melted into the other year’s goals which remain dormant in their dust covered notebooks.

This year, you’re fed up with feeling like you’ve given up before the year has really got started and want to try something different. You’ve heard of vision boards and are thinking about giving one a go although you’re not sure where to start.

If that sounds familiar, I’m here to help.

Keep reading to discover 5 reasons not to miss coming to my next Vision Board workshop:

1. You’ll meet other people with similar interests (and maybe leave with an extra friend or two!)

Friends at a creative workshop

It can be daunting going to an event on your own can’t it? I get it!

But let me tell you a story about what happened in one of my vision board workshops:

As everyone was busily cutting, sticking and looking at magazines, there was a hum of chatter and laughter in the room.  As I walked past and spoke to two women at a table I asked them how they met and they told me they’d only met an hour ago at the very table they were sat at! It unravelled that they both worked in the same field and over the evening they became friends, swapped numbers and still meet up now J.

I wonder who you could be sat next to?

2. You’ll be more focused on your goals

Let me guess.

At home, you’d sit down and start flicking through magazines as you try and work out what you’d like to work on next year.

You end up with actions that aren’t what you really want which makes it even harder to work towards.

So come along to a workshop with me and you’ll be guided through a powerful visualisation to hone in on what you really want, not what you think you want.

And the best thing is that you don’t need any experience of visualising!

3. You’ll save yourself money

Have you seen the prices of glossy magazines these days?

Vision Board workshop set up

You won’t get much change from a £10 note so if you bought a few to cut out, glue and scissors, then it will have already cost you more than a ticket to a vision board workshop, where you’ll find a multitude of magazines, stationery and paper for you to enjoy.

So you’ll actually be saving yourself money. It’s a no brainer.

4. You’ll be more motivated and have less distractions than if you made it at home

“I’ll just make a cup of tea”

“I’ll just check Instagram”

“I’ll just do the dishes”

At home, there are so many distractions!

You’ll be jolted out of your creative flow numerous times and might not even finish your board.

Whereas, come and join me at a workshop and the evening is dedicated to you getting creative and working on your goals. No distractions.

5. You don’t have to clear up the mess

Seriously though, all those tiny scraps of paper and all the faff of clearing up afterwards is not up to you!

So come and enjoy a relaxed evening, knowing that you can create as much mess as you need and not worry about clearing it up.

So, what are you waiting for?

My next Vision Board workshop is on Thursday 16th January 2025 in Todmorden. Grab your ticket via my website, or if you’d like to arrange your own workshop and would like me to come to you, then get in touch via email! Abi @thewell-beinggarden.co.uk
